ALBERTA INTRAPROVINCIAL STUDENT PASS

EFFECTIVE: June 6, 2008

APPLICATION OF FARES
Except as otherwise specifically show below, Rules and Regulations governing Reduced Fares are shown on Pages 2 and 3 of this Section.
Fares computed under authority of this tariff will apply to Regular Adult one-way and round-trip fares as published in Local Passenger Tariffs of the participating carriers listed in the GCTC Rules & Regulations for Excursions and/or the Canadian Passenger Tariff No. 1A issued by N.B.T.A.

LIMITS
PASS LIMITS:
Valid for one year from date of purchase.
Allows purchaser:

1. Four (4) one way trip passages between any two points within Alberta served by GCTC.

OR
2. Two (2) round trip passages between any two points within Alberta served by GCTC.

NOTE: Tickets do NOT have to be between the same points

TRAVEL LIMITS

Valid for travel daily
   One Way tickets valid for 60 days.
   Round Trip tickets valid for 365 days.

SALE OF PASS CARDS
Upon payment and presentation of valid student ID, agents will issue an Alberta Student Pass Card, and fill in:

• The students name.
• Student ID number (or birth certificate number); and
• The expiry date (One (1) year from date of purchase).

NOTE: Global and Travel Cuts agents will be issuing a voucher to students who have purchased an Alberta Student Pass Card. GCTC agents are to exchange the voucher for a Pass Card.

ISSUING OF TICKETS
Upon presentation by the passenger of a valid Pass Card and ID the agent will:

• Check and/or initial one (1) box for a one way ticket or two (2) boxes for a round trip ticket on the Pass Card.
• Generate a ticket with no monetary value shown and with all the required coupons needed for the trip(s).

FARE

PASS CARD: $156.19 + $7.81(GST) = $164.00

ONTARIO 10-RIDE STUDENT COMMUTER FARES

The following student fares are City-Specific and apply between the points named only.

Fares are for 10 rides valid for 6 months from date of sale.

Weekend and Holiday surcharges will not apply.

Student tickets take the form of one-way travel coupons which are valid from travel in either direction between the two points named.

NO Stopovers are permitted.

Student Commuter tickets are transferable.

Student Commuter tickets may be used for group travel

Endorse tickets "STUD10"

All detached, altered or mutilated coupons will be VOID. Entire commuter book must be presented to the driver, who will detach Coupon(s).

REFUNDS: Student Commuter tickets WILL be redeemed to the original purchaser, at the fare paid when no portion of the ticket has been used, less a refund penalty of 20%. In cases where the ticket is partially used, refund will be made on the difference, less a refund penalty of 20%, if any, between the fare paid for the ticket and the value of the rides used, calculated at the regular One-Way fare, upon submission to the Head Office Customer Service Department of the Carrier.

ONTARIO MONTHLY STUDENT COMMUTER FARES

Endorse tickets "EXO70ST" or "ST MO SAVER"

Fares valid for unlimited travel during month indicated on the pass.

No intermediate stops allowed.

PASS CARD: Must be presented at time of travel and must be filled in with persons name, address and signature. ID may be requested as verification that the person presenting pass is the person named on the pass card.

Passes are non-refundable.

ONTARIO EXO40 - CITY-SPECIFIC STUDENT FARES

Students will be considered as those persons who have valid Student ID.

1. Valid Student ID would be:
1. Birth certificate for students up to age 15.
2. Student card and picture ID for students 16 and over.
3. Registration letter and picture ID for new students.
4. ISIC - International Student Identification Card.
2. Valid ID MUST be presented at time of purchase and may be requested by the driver upon boarding.

TRAVEL LIMITS

Valid for travel daily
   One Way tickets valid for 60 days.
   Round Trip tickets valid for 90 days.

REFUNDS

Tickets are refundable, but subject to the refund policy outlined in Section 1, "Rules and Regulations" of this Manual. A cancellation penalty of 20% will be assessed for each ticket redeemed.

If a PM is shown in connection with the fare a Primary Market has been defined and the fare will apply to the defined Secondary Markets as well.
